WE'RE HIRING AN ASSOCIATE EVENT PLANNER!

That's right! WE ARE HIRING one awesome and fabulous person to join our team as an Associate Event Planner!

Do you live in the Los Angeles area? Do you enjoy working with people? If you like color coding files and if you love lists then this may be for you! We are seeking ONE super amazing and awesome person to join our team as an Associate Event Planner

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Associate Event Planner will report to the Lead Event Planner and will be responsible for back-end and on-site coordination of both company sponsored workshops and events and client weddings and events.  The ideal candidate for the position will quickly excel within the role and be well-poised to solely manage several events and weddings annually in the Los Angeles area.

Due to the nature of this role, we require a candidate who is extremely motivated, dedicated and passionate about their career.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. EVENT PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT: Produce assistance with weddings and events. Alongside the Lead Event Planner, serve as "event producer" at most events.  This role involves timing of the event, logistical management, overseeing set-up and strike and more.
  2. EXTERNAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: You will work alongside the Lead Event Planner and will quickly learn how to build business relationships effectively within the wedding and events industry. This involved research, conference calls, virtual and in-person meetings.
  3. MARKETING STRATEGY: Innovate our marketing channels. Work with Lead Event Planner to brainstorm and solidify marketing strategy for Fabulously Wed, including leveraging the power of social media.
  4. VENDOR RELATIONS:  Coordinate with vendors such as printers, wholesalers, caterers, rental companies, etc.  Continues communication with vendors post-event to continue to build and maintain industry relationships
REQUIREMENTS

  1. you must live in Los Angeles county;
  2. you must have your own reliable transportation;
  3. have experience in sales;
  4. you don't need events or wedding experience, though it's a plus
  5. must have experience with social media marketing; be forward thinking and productive;
  6. must desire to be a wedding planner without the pressure of owning your own company;
  7. must have a positive attitude and fun personality; be calm in the face of adversity; be razor sharp, extremely motivated and hard-working; extra points for wit and humor!
  8. need to be the kind of person who's bold enough to call someone you've never met, engaging enough to get to know them and build a relationship, resourceful enough to find the opportunities and seize them, hard-working enough to roll up your sleeves and get the job done and thorough enough to close loops and deals independently
  9. must be willing to climb, fold, arrange, setup, hang items, run around, rearrange and everything in between
  10. must be willing to learn
  11. must be flexible and willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary. 

This job IS NOT for someone who wants to own their own wedding planning company.

This job IS NOT for someone who wants to be an event designer.
