Fabulously Wed DIY Project: Sugar Cubes

{All Photos from Nifty Thrifty Blog}

Hello FABULOUS readers! When I saw this DIY project for sugar cubes on Nifty Thrifty Blog, I immediately began thinking how cute these would be in a small cellophane with an adorable label and a fantastic ribbon. They are really easy to make and would make a super cute wedding favor paired with a few amazing flavored iced teas!

You will need:
  • granulated white or brown sugar or turbinado sugar
  • cold water
  • bowl
  • teaspoon
  • ice cube tray or candy mold
Direction:

  1. Pour 1/2 cup sugar into a bowl
  2. Use a teaspoon to pour small amounts of water into the sugar, little by little, and mix until it's a paste-like consistency. Make sure the sugar doesn't melt during this process
  3. Mold the sugar-water-paste into the ice cube trays or candy molds, about half-way full, and press tight into the molds
  4. Let dry overnight
  5. Carefully remove the sugar cubes from the tray or molds
  6. ENJOY!
To pretty things up a bit you can also experiment a little with food coloring!

Until Next Time, Stay Fabulous!
