A Change To Fabulously Wed

Hello FABULOUS readers. It has taken me about a week to figure out how to write this blog post to you because I was a little afraid. Even as I type this I am experiencing a little anxiety and I will more than likely read this about 100 times before I press "Publish Post". EEK!

Some of you may know that I attended Making Things Happen 9 months ago. There we were taught to embrace fear, push past it and then do it anyway. Super scary. Like super super scary. But when you get past your fear and actually push...great is the reward. Another amazing lesson was to share and share and when you think you are done sharing...share some more. It was at Making Things Happen that I learned how much my experiences help others. I learned that people want to know what I have to share. I never knew... NEVER!

At the time, I had no idea how profound that experience was. However, as time has moved along so much has happened to my life, my career and my focus. Things that I never thought would happen. Things I never in my wildest dreams could have foreseen. But happen they did.

I love weddings...I truly do. And I have had the most amazing time planning and designing weddings for my clients. I have never had a bridezilla and I have never met a client I didn't fall in love with. Some of them have even remained friends. However, as I move into my life's purpose I must bid a very sad farewell to wedding planning and design.

Over the last 10 years I have had 5 different and completely unconnected people say to me that I need to teach. Each time this was said to me, I completely ignored it. However, for some reason I have reached that turning point where the puzzles pieces now fit perfectly. Together with Lisa Smith of Gabbi Grace Events {also an MTH alumni}, we have launched Backstage Bridal Pro Academy. This is an annual conference for wedding planners only. If you want to be a planner, are a new planner or have years of experience...this conference was created for you. It's for wedding planners, created by wedding planners because we are you and we know your struggles and pains. We've felt your joys and happy moments. We've lived through your frustrations and your fears. Class registration opens at the end of September. Click the above link to see what we're up to over there!

It is because my life is taking this unexpected {although prophesied} turn that I have chosen to focus my energy and my efforts on building and maintaining this academy. Fabulously Wed will remain in tact as a blog and resource with inspiring ideas, fabulous weddings and fun DIY projects. In addition, I am now opening a vendor directory and will be offering advertising space. I have been contacted by numerous brides in the US and in Canada for help finding wedding resources like you. If you are interested, please contact me at tami {at} fabulouslywed {dot} com.

Recently I pulled out the journal we worked in during the intensive and this is what I found... {pay special attention to the statements the arrows are pointing to}
I haven't looked at this since I wrote it on November 2010. I knew words had power, but I had no clue just how powerful they are. And take a look at this...
WORDS HAVE POWER!!!
During Making Things Happen we were asked to come up with an "I AM" statement. This was mine:

Do you know how bad I want to scream right now? And I feel truly...

{Photos of my notebook were taken by my daughter Jazmin and the rights belong to yours truly}
Thank you all so much for your continued support and please remember to come back to visit me because the FABULOUSNESS is far from over. Don't forget, if you are a vendor and are interested in being considered for my brand spanking new vendor directory or want to secure a banner ad, shoot me an email at tami {at} fabulouslywed {dot} com. And if you are a wedding planner...or want to be a wedding planner, please pop on over to Backstage Bridal Pro Academy for advice, tips and education that will blow your socks right the heck off!

Until Next Time, Stay Fabulous!

WOW! Thank you so much to everyone. This was the hardest decision I have ever made. Honestly, I wanted to hold on to both but it is not the wisest move. All of your support is so much appreciated and means the world to me. xoxo
