Fabulously Wed DIY Project: Painted Votives

There is something very romantic about softly hued painted votives such as these. I imagine the muse of a fabulous artist posing sensually amid candlelight as he works feverishly to capture her beauty on canvas.  The room is filled with soft, filtered light, canvases align the walls and drop cloths spattered with paint are strewn around an amazing loft space.  You can replicate this gorgeous look by following these simple instructions for these pretty DIY painted votives that I found on OnceWed.
They couldn’t be easier to make. Pick up a case of glass votives from your nearest floral wholesaler or local Target. Scribble watery paint on the inside of clear glass candleholders and don’t try too hard…if you mess with them too much you’ll just make brown. When they’re dry, plunk in a votive. Done!

Those are fun! I love the way the light catches them.
