Fabulously Wed: Engagement Session | Vintage Films

I am so thrilled and thankful for the opportunity to be featured on one of my favorite wedding blogs, Green Wedding Shoes
When Ashleigh Taylor contacted me and explained her client's, Virginia and Alex, were film buffs and wanted an opportunity to showcase their careers in the film industry, their love of vintage things and their crush on silent films, I couldn't resist squealing a little!  We immediately met with Amber Moon of Pitbulls and Posies and got to work collaborating an amazing design and concept for Virginia and Alex.   After deciding on the look, it was only fitting that, Nicole Gonzales, owner of Fancy Fancy Breads got involved and provide some of her yummy baked goods.  And when I tell you they are yummy, I do mean MMM MMM MMM!  Not a single cookie, pie pop or pie in a jar went to waste! Here are some FAB pics from our lovely day...
I chose flowers that were soft and feminine with a ruffly look.  White and peachy salmon ranunculus, white Dutch tulips, pink fringe tulips, multi-color pinky peach parrot tulips with creamy white and pale green accents, wax flowers and billy balls were chosen.
Using 16MM film I was able to create a few adorable loops in Alex's boutonniere,  I tried to create a similar look for the bouquet, but the film was quite fragile to work with and kept snapping in half during the process.  Thankfully, it worked well for the boutonniere and gave Alex a look that really infused his love of film.
A collection of old books, gorgeous vintage suitcases and a lead candelabra served as background to their picnic area.  And here you can see how Fancy Fancy Breads took great care to whip up a handful of her super delicious baked goods for an adorable little sweets table.  So cute and delectable at the same time!
I absolutely loved Virginia and Alex's attire. In fact, when Virginia showed up in her suede skirt and lace vest, Ashleigh and I went BANANAS! This couple definitely had a boho chic look going on and knew exactly how to put it together...FABULOUS!
Pitbulls and Posies did such a great job creating signage for Virginia and Alex that helped them play out their love through cue cards just like a silent movie with the western film sets of Paramount Ranch as their backdrop! Move over John Wayne...Alex is the new sheriff in town!
I had so much fun with this!  For more photos and an amazing write up, check out Green Wedding Shoes!

Until Next Time, Stay Fabulous!
