Living A Fabulous Life: MTH2010 Changed Me Forever

It took me a few days to slow down enough to write this post on my experience at MTH2010 last Thursday in Los Angeles.  Me and 17 others entered MTH2010 Intensive with Lara Casey, Emily Ley and Gina Zeidler at 10am and I had no idea what to expect nor did I know that 13 hours later I would emerge a changed person. What is MTH2010, you might say?  Well, MTH2010 stands for Making Things Happen.  And it is all about recognizing your fear, feeling it, owning it and pushing through it anyway.  It is NOT about learning how to take short-cuts or accepting mediocrity.  It's about personal growth so that you may be ALL you were intended to be, personally, professionally, socially and spiritually.  It's about being your FABULOUS you!
You might be saying, "Yeah, Tami, that's all well and good, but seriously... what did you learn?"  Well, FABULOUS readers, I learned that I am WAY more than I give myself credit for.  That God is REAL and doing abundant things in my life and the lives of those around me.  That HE has already placed the gifts within and it is just as simple {or hard, depending on where you are in life} as reaching within and seizing that baby with all your might.  That my journey in self-improvement and business growth is not nearly over, but nor is it in the baby stages.  I am more than I gave myself credit for. I am wise.  I am strong.  I am overcoming negativity and fear times 20 squared.  I am a determined, self-assured believer in myself and what Emily and I are setting out to accomplish. AND I know I will leave the legacy I intend to leave behind for my children and their children and beyond.  In two words... I AM!
I was asked to write down one word to describe how I was feeling at that very moment.  I wrote "BLESSED".  Succinctly and fully, I felt BLESSED to be in a room with others that were also willing to face challenges to be ALL that they were created to be.  I felt BLESSED to make new friends and develop a camaraderie that can only happen when you spend 13 intimate hours baring your soul to one another.  I felt BLESSED to be touched by so many others.  And I AM BLESSED to know that I have others who will encourage me on my journey {and I will them} as we embark on new adventures and take on new circumstances with the courage of a lion.
I was asked to write down a statement that described what I intend to MAKE HAPPEN.  My statement was/is "I am transforming spaces and minds."  This sums up all that Emily and I are and hope to be.  This is the new mission statement of Fabulously Wed.  When I shared this with Emily, she was beyond thrilled with these words.  It describes all of who we are and who we intend to be as designers and mentors in this FABULOUS industry.
I walked into MTH2010 a skeptic and left with my heart full, my mind ready and my spirit excited.  As one of my MTH2010 Los Anegeles Alumni stated, "You are at the top of a roller coaster that is about to get awesome!"  So, what's happening next for Fabulously Wed?  We ALREADY have amazing things in the works and red hot irons in the fire... all meant to bring you the VERY BEST of who we are and what we intend to offer you as consultants and peers, both our clients and our colleagues.
What do you intend to make happen?
I would love to know!
Until Next Time, Stay Fabulous!
